In Mexican and Mexican-American culture, a carne asada is an outdoor gathering where people come together around the grill with music and delicious food. It’s essentially a Latino backyard barbecue.
Ingredients
1 tablespoon avocado oil
1 pound flank or skirt steak
1 packet siete beef fajita seasoning
1 cup white onion, sliced
1 cup bell pepper, sliced
Directions
Slice the steak into ¼-½ inch slices against the grain. Season with 1 pouch of Siete Beef Fajita Seasoning. Toss to combine and set aside. The beef can marinate in the seasoning up to overnight.
Add 1 Tbsp of avocado oil to a large heavy-bottomed skillet or cast iron skillet and heat over medium-high.
Add the sliced and seasoned beef along the peppers and onions. Cook stirring, for 3-5 minutes or until the steak and vegetables are fully cooked.
